The Saints are not as far advanced as they would normally be at this time in the off-season, but there's a good reason for it.Because they reached the playoffs and earned a spot in Super Bowl XLIV, which extended the season by six weeks, team executives aren't as far along with their normal offseason duties.In fact, Saints general manager Mickey Loomis told the New Orleans Times-Picayune this week his team was "a bit behind"—which is understandable considering where the Saints went this season."It's a good reason to be behind," Loomis said of the first Super Bowl appearance in the 43-year history of the franchise, which produced a 31-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts.
